Hi VJs

I just want to ask if you don't have a middle name. What is an appropriate answer to the middle name box in the form I-129F?

Do you recommend to put N/A, or none? It's probably a language thing but it seems to me like both N/A and none sound like it both could be used.

However, my fiancee insisted that I put "-" in my form, do you think it will be ok?

Thank you and good luck to you all

The instructions give you choices of "N/A" or "none," not "-".

IMHO, don't have = "none"

Concurrent same themed thread, None-na-or blank.

Good luck on your visa journey.

page two of 1-129f instruction. n/a for non-applicable and "none" for none--- I would suggest using the quotes. I remember a post someone put none and the middle name was listed as none....

Ahhh thanks guys. My gut feeling told me to use none but my fiancee has also read a post about someone's middle name being listed as "none"tongue_ss.gif

First, she wanted to leave it blank but I told her it is not a good idea to leave any box blank. That's when she insisted on using "-" and she is a native English speaker, so I didn't want to argue with her...

I'd be so mad if we get RFE because of this..dry.gif

Hope the adjudicator won't be picky about tiny small mistakes.

How could you possible get an RFE for answering none, when the answer is none? Relax ! If you said your name was John Doe but some paperwork said Robert Brown..now that could be an RFE.

I didn't answer "none" Instead I put "-" in the box...

But this long waiting have us all over-worrying about every small little thinglaughing.gif

Just make sure once it hits the embassy that your name is spelled right and doesn't have the "-" in the middle of it - computers are wonderful but some humans behind them aren't. Everything has to match when you enter the US using the K1.

"none" is the correct one to use.
