I have not been checking the status on the USCIS website since I got the notice that the RFE was sent on the 29th. Just for the heck of it, I logged in and it says last touched on 10-1. Anyone else get touches while waiting for thier RFE to come? Maybe the last touch was the actual date the RFE was mailed or something?

PS I just noticed that 10-1 was a Sunday - strange...

2007-10-27 Green Cards Received!

ROC (I-751) Journey:

2009-07-24 Joint I-751 for spouse and daughter sent

2009-08-03 Received NOA1 dated 7/27/09

2009-08-03 Received Receipt and one year extension for wife

2009-08-03 Received "Verification Of Incusion Of A Dependent" for step-daughter

2009-08-27 Biometrics

2009-11-13 Green Cards Received

There has been said so much here in this forum about the subject Touches. Just don´t give too much of any meaning on those touches. It only means someone with the service center has opend your file maybe or even they just moved it from one shelf to another. A touch is only then interesting if there also was an update in your status message.

We know how exciting it is seeing a touch but after a while you will learn not every touch will be followed by any actions.

Some people had lots of touches and nothing happend anytime soon. Others hardly didn´t get touched and got approved real fast.

Good Luck on your journey and we hope for you to get approved soon too

10-03 NVC received our case

10-05 Our case left NVC for consulat in Frankfurt/Germany

10-10 our case arrived with consulat in Frankfurt

10-14 Rico received package #3

10-17 Rico sent back package #3

10-26 Rico got medical exam done in Frankfurt. Still waiting for interview date

11-01 Rico received package # 4

11-09 Rico had interview and visa got approved

11-29 Rico received Visa in the mail

12-13 We arrive together in TX

01-10 Rico applied for SSN

01-20 Rico received his SSN Card

01-25 OUR WEDDING DAY

Eventough i am dealing with VSC i got my e-mail about REF on 09/29 and i was touched on10/01-same situation like you.

03/24/2007- AOS package mailed

04/02/2007- NOA1

05/02/2007 AOS transfered to CSC

06/09/2007 Biometrics done

06/11/2007 EAD card production ordered

07/03/2007 AOS card production ordered

07/7/2007 GC in mail -date on card 6/28/2007

I-751

4/21/08 - I-751 package mailed- regular mail

4/28/09 - Check cashed

5/6/09 - NOA 1 received

7/28/09 - called 1- 800 -.... put in service request

7/31/0 - e-mail from CRIS - no biometrics needed

NOW WAITING......

July 17 2006 Sent I-129F to TSC

July 19 2006 packet received by TSC

July 27 2006 case received at CSC

July 28 2006 touched (to process/send NOA1)

Aug 01 2006 check cashed

Aug 05 2006 NOA1 received in mail

Oct 03 2006 Touched (RFE sent)

Oct 10 2006 RFE received and responded to

Oct 17 2006 Touched (CSC reply to RFE response)

Nov 06 2006 NOA2

Nov 21 2006 NVC sent to Manila

i checked on 2nd october and the status was that they sent a request for further info on 30th - i too checked on 3rd and it was updated to 3/10 ...bizarre!!!....but i guess they have stuffed the file into the pending tray while they wait ....whats that old saying ...."patience is a virtue".....however to follow that on i was also told that virtue is a grace, grace is a little girl who wouldnt wash her face!!!......( Sorry ....just a touch of silliness )

There was quite a delay between us being told we were going to get an RFE and actually receiving it. I'm guessing someone decides an RFE is needed and then forwards the case to an admin person to actually print the form and put it in the mail.

I was touched Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and now F.A. - I'm so over this process. :(
