DS-230 is about the beneficiary. The beneficiary completes it and sends in the supporting documentation

First off, the package would be sent to NVC, not USCIS.

And secondly, you have two options: you either mail the package directly to NVC or you mail it to your husband and then he mails it to NVC.

I would save time and send them to NVC directly, and not send them to the petioner first.

Good luck

The correct address will be on the bar-coded cover sheet from the payment portal. That's the address you should use.

You complete part 2 (along with part 1). But unlike part 1, you do NOT sign nor date it. It is sent to NVC with part 1 as there are questions on part 2 that have to be reviewed by NVC. Then, at the time of the interview, the officer will return it to you so you can sign and date it.

for the supporting documents - if they are in native language of the country - do we need to also send translated photocopies ASWELL as the originals? I am talking about the National ID card - its in Urdu - do i need to have it translated to english and attach that to the original?

NVC's website states:

"All documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations and submitted to the NVC. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator stating that the:

-Translation is accurate, and

-Translator is competent to translate."

Despite this, I have seen cases of people getting checklists for not having translations of non-English documents. I'd suggest you get everything translated anyways to be on the safe side.

Although, I have to ask, why are you submitting a National ID card? Is it required for that country?
