Well I spoke to my lawyer on thursday and she said that immigration is due to approve my petition but as it sits still nothing. So she said that she will send them a letter threatening legal action(mandamus action) for taking entirely to long. She said that will usually do the trick because USCIS hates to go to court over a visa case. please please please let this step be over with soon.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Hey everyone i just finished my interview with the immigration officer. It went very well but she only asked me questions pertaining to my previous marriage because i had sponsored my ex wife from mexico. After explaining everything and showing current correspondence she said that she should have it.approved by tuesday of next week.. she apologized for the case taking so long and said she hopes all works out with the new marriage.
