speaking of dense...

Question: My joint sponsor is including her spouses income, so I know he needs to fill out the I-864a. On the I-864, do we check the box Only joint sponsor or first of two joint sponsors?

I'm thinking only joint sponsor since the BiL fills out the I-864a with my sister as a member of her household.

I believe your thinking is right where she ticks off 'only joint sponsor', unless her spouse is contributing more than she is.

LOL wow...and now I have Family Guy episodes in my head :P So do we get to call ya Momma Saylin? :):goofy::dancing::energy:

Which episode is that?

And yes, you can call me your immigration momma laughing.gif

Our case has been completed at NVC as of Wednesday (yay!) and now we're waiting for the interview date. Of course I called and got the "we only schedule interviews during the second week of each month, so you'll have to wait until the third week of April to find out your interview date" line. I've read in various places on this forum that that's patently untrue.

Nevertheless, what's the average period of time that people wait before getting their interview date? Should I keep calling every day to find out, or should I expect to hear nothing about it for a few weeks?

I'm anxious to find out when he might actually get to be here! Our first year wedding anniversary is on June 3rd and I'm really hoping he can be here for that. Didn't think the USCIS stage would take over 7 months :(

By the way my immigration babies, we've passed 200 pages in this thread ;)laughing.gif

We are only 98 pages to reach 300! wooohoooo!

Q's: Once both fees (AOS & IV) are paid on payment portal, Do we ever need to go back there?

Similar to once we are at NVC, we never have to return to USCIS page to check on I-130 or I-129f status. :D

Yup, it's definitely a lie when operators say they only schedule during the second week. I was scheduled during the FOURTH week. Silly operators headbonk.gif

And as far as I know, UK is just around 2 months from CC to interview date. As long as you have no problems at the interview and he doesn't take long to move, then he should definitely be in the US for your wedding anniversary.

by the way my immigration mommy, i feel like calling now, i am being tempted

laughing.gif Then call :P

I really really hope this doesn't offend anyone because I don't mean to but...you know the episode with the song about anchor babies? *sigh* lol...that's the song. It's just catchy, so it stuck... :P

I can't recall that one. I have all the seasons (except the newest one released, keep forgetting to buy it headbonk.gif). Any chance you know what the episode was about? I can try to find out the episode from that and then watch it :D

Glad you caught the differing job titles and changed it good.gifI don't know how big of a deal if they're different, but it's best to be consistent with these people headbonk.gif

And wow, she had time to mail it, but not enough time to scan and email it? blink.gif

laughing.giflaughing.giflaughing.gif Think we can make it to 300 before the end of the month?

And nope, no real reason to go back to the payment portal after you pay the fees and print out the bar-coded cover sheet. There was another reason before (getting SIF on payment portal after sending packages used to indicate case complete), but that doesn't seem to really happen anymore...
