Hey everybody,

my fiancee, who got approved on February 14,2012, got her visa in hand now. And she will arrive here in san diego on March 2 (Friday). She told me that they gave her a sealed envelope that they told her not to open it. Is she gonna bring that envelope to me here? What do I do with that envelope and what is in there? I am not really sure what to do with that envelop.

Thanks VJ family

Sincerely,

FK

Do NOT open this envelope. She will hand this to the immigration officer at the POE. They will open it. It contains her records. If opened then you will need to go back to the embassy for another one.

This is what she will give to immigration when she lands in the US. It contains all the forms/xrays from the K-1 process...DO NOT OPEN IT!

Tell her to take it on as hand luggage then hand it over to the Immigration officer at POE :)

The Customs officer will take that sealed envelope at POE.

These sealed envelope will be taken upon arrival to San Diego by the Immigration Officer. They will also look & write something on I-94 but make sure that this has to return back to your fiancé, as this will be needed during your AOS process. Congratulations! good.gif

Thanks all for quick response, and I so appreciate it. It seems like there is I-94 in there as well. Is that the one that she has to get it back or the whole envelop?

They keep the envelope. You do not get it back. The I94 is not in the envelope. It is a paper they will attached to her passport at the POE. It's good for 90 days which is the time frame for you marriage.

The I-94 will be handed out on the airplane before landing at the POE, you Fiancee will complete it and have it available for customs officer, make sure to keep it after clearing customs as you will need it for AOS

Tell her to keep it safe within her carry on luggage. There is NO i-94 included. This is issued at the POE by the CBP officer once she clears immigration. Wish you guys all the best...

The sealed envelope is not for you, it is for immigration and by all means please tell her to guard it cautiously and it is to be opened by IMMIGRATION only. Congrats to you and your fiance.

The Envelope contains magic Pixie dust. The officer will open it at the POE, retrieve the dust, and throw it in the air over your Fiancée. You Fiancée will magically be transformed into an American, developing an instant craving for McDonald's French Fries, Walmart, and following Kim Kardashian's Twitter feeds.

Bite your tongue...!!!

That's enough to make a new arrival turn around and go the other way at the POE.
