Sounds like you mean CR1 - which means no I-129F. Not sure what you mean about reapplying though.

I-129F is for K1 and I-130 is for CR1.

Photocopies can be sent when submitting the initial petition but you ill need the originals of these documents once the case is approved and at NVC stage or during the interview. Don't forget to have them translated into English also.

The bold is incorrect. When filed with the NOA of a I130, the I129F will act as the petition for a K-3 visa.

However, OP - the K3 visa is virtually obsolute. Look at the comparason guides, the K-3 visa takes longer, is more expensive, and offers less benefits than the Cr-1. Stick with the I130 petition you already filed and forget the K-3

Yea, I went through K3 and lived the unfortunate experience of how null it is....that's why I listed what I did, so the OP doesn't make this mistake and waste time and money.

Sorry, my point was that the I129f is not JUST for the K-1. To post anything different misleads the OP

Good luck

Oh no...I completely understand. You're correct. I would just hate for anyone to go through what I did.

Birth and marriage certificates will never need to be notarized and apostilled during the whole process, so save money and have your wife send you regular original certificates.

For the I130 package, you can send a photocopy of the marriage certificate, and no birth certificate of the beneficiary (foreign spouse) is needed.

During the second step, at NVC, after USCIS has approved the I-130 petition, you will then need to send the original birth and marriage certificates.

Don't bother sending out an I-129F after receive NOA1 for the I-130, it does not make things faster or easier, it's actually the contrary!

Giving inaccurate information is a very poor way to help somebody avoid a mistake. If you won't take the time to explain things correctly, it may be best to leave it to others who WILL.
