What does the guides / directions say? Thats usually a good place to start. If it says you need one then you need one. If it says its optional then its optional.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Is your fiance the petitioner? If he/she is the petitioner then he/she needs to send a copy of every page of his/her passport to validate his/her US citizenship status.

If your fiance is the beneficiary then he/she is not required to send copy of her/his passport unless there is a stamp there that you would like to use as a proof that you two have been in a trip together.

But you both need to send passport size photos.

Make sure you have everything as stated in the guide when you submit your I129f.

Good luck. :)

My husband did not have a passport. Still doesn't in fact. He validated his US citizenship with his birth certificate and his 2 dd214's.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I mean a US passport is one of the way to validate US citizenship status other than birth certificate or Citizenship/Naturalization certificate. :)
