This whole process is extremely exhausting!! I am losing sleepover this, I wake up at night and pull out the papers and keep looking them over and trying to complete them. I keep worrying about this and I haven’t even filed yet. I feel sick to my belly :unsure: …

Is this normal.. I have accepted the waiting period of up to 12 months, however I am SCARED!!!

01/06/2012- Married My best friend

05/09/2012- Mailed I-130 via Fed Ex

5/10/2012- I-130 has been received & Signed for at the Chicago lockbox at 10:23 am

05/14/2012- Received NOA1 via Text Message

05/17/2012- Received NOA1 via Snail Mail(Postmarked 5/15/2012)

07/27/2012- 9:36 am Received NOA2 via text message (thought it was a dream)

07/30/2012- Started calling the NVC to see if case has been received

08/02/2012 -Called NVC- Rep told me that NVC Received Package 07/30/2012 (Still no case# assigned)

08/16/2012 -Called NVC- Information has been entered and received my case number (Yahooo)

08/24/2012- AOS Bill invoiced and paid

08/30/2012- Emailed the DS-3023

09/05/2012- Sent AOS (Affidavit of support) packet via Fed Ex (overnight)

09/06/2012- AOS Packet received

09/11/2012- Received email notification that the DS-3023 (Choice of Agent) has been accepted

09/13/2012- Received IV Bill

09/13/2012- Paid IV Bill

09/17/2012- IV marked as paid

09/17/2012- Sent IV Package (DS-230) via Fed Ex

09/18/2012- IV Package Received

09/18/2012- AOS Packet Accepted

09/25/2012- Called NVC and found out I have an RFE

09/26/2012- Received RFE via EMAIL

10/01/2012- Sent original divorce documentation (RFE) via Fed Ex overnight

10/15/2012- CASE COMPLETE (Yahoooooooooooo)

10/23/2012- Case complete email received..

11/02/2012- Called DOS and received interview date

11/05/2012- Received email with check list and appointment date

11/20/2012- Medical Completed

12/03/2012- Interview Scheduled

12/24/2012- Entered the USA and got to MN at 12:08 am on 12/25/2012 Merry X-Mas to us

Nattie this is normal your going to have all type of emotions during this journey up and downs nervousness and all. But only you will know if your ready to send off the those papers. and may I ask what are you scared of?

I know exactly what you are going through and so does everybody on here... This is an emotion that is beyond us, it is very depressing enough with all of this waiting that we have to do, it literally feels like a jail to me, sometimes I don't even want to come out of my room, I have to force myself to... we are at the mercy of other people deciding our future, it's just crazy to me... Good Luck on your journey...

That i missed something or didn't do something correct!! Also, our situation is a little different and a long story. We have a history,we actully met in the US when he was married to his now Ex wife. However, they were togather for almost 9 years, come to find out she lied on all the papers. She said she was never married and she was!! Now it has come up that she was never divorced from the 1st husband :wow: !! so I hope we don't run into any other problems.

We have known each other for 8 years and we lived togahter here in the US, however we were just roommates back then. I have been travling to Jamaica for years and I am best friends with his sister and call her kids my nieces and nephews. They have even come to visit me in the states (the kids).

How do you explain how you fell in love with someone? When it just happened, I thought I knew what love was like, clearly I didn’t until I re connested with my now husband. Spent 16 years with 1 person and it was horrible and now I have never been so happy and free.. Sometimes you just know that, that someone is for you.. (L)(L)(L)(L)(L)(L)

I think if you're an anxious person this whole process can be agonizing... Maybe it's a good time to talk to someone about your anxiety.

I know what you mean about wedding anxiety, I've been there :P

CR1 Visa

USCIS STAGE: 16 days No expedite request but USC residing abroad
NVC STAGE: 19 days from case # to case complete
03/27/12: interview at Paris embassy - APPROVED
04/12/12: POE San Diego

ROC
01/15/14: sent I-751 application

05/14/14: received card production notification by e-mail, approval date 05/13

Naturalization

02/01/24: N-400 submitted online; Biometrics reuse notice received immediately online; "case being actively reviewed" after a couple hours

02/09/24: received NOA1 by mail

02/10/24: received biometrics reuse notice by mail

04/08/24: interview scheduled for 05/14. Received "We have taken an action in your case" email.

05/14/24: approved at interview, same-day oath ceremony in San Francisco 🥳 🇺🇸

 

Passport

06/10/24: application submitted at post office for passport book and card, paid for expedited processing and shipping

06/24/24: received email notification that passport was approved, then shipped with tracking number

06/25/24: passport received

It is totally normal and SUCKS...I had to take breaks away from the site because reading everyone's stories (sometimes it seemed more bad than good) got the better of me. A friend who brought her love from the Dominican Republic told me about the site so I feel lucky to get so much info but it can be overwhelming. Take a break sometimes, exercise, try to get through everyday the best you can..... it is so hard sometimes. Keep the faith.
