Why would you ask?

Think about it. RFE is a Request for Evidence. Is all CAPS family name additional evidence?

duh! :wacko: thanx...I see now I'm really over thinking this! Gonna take a chill pill and forget about this for a while.

They like all caps coz its easier to read hand-written words. Nothing to be worried about. Good luck to you. You will make yourself crazy worried about dotting your I's and crossing your T's. I can tell you from experience. lol! I have never heard of anybody at all where that was an issue.

I still go through my paperwork occasionally to see if I possibly could of missed something :bonk:

The question is PERFECTLY understable and accurate. Some poeple are just too cocky to answer in a respectful way :bonk: , Anyway, you should be fine and not get an RFE, but just for your next forms pay close attention and triple check everything!! :star:

I actually made everything CAPS on my paperwork except for the things that are always lowercase or case sensitive like E-mail address.

Me personally, if i had to look at a lot of paperwork then I would like everything to have an SOP. If you are going to use CAPS on this and that, you might as well do it on ever field.

Does it matter that family name not in all caps on form? could one get an RFE for that?

When typing information in a PDF form related to immigration it is a best practice to type family names and country names in ALL CAPS. It is NOT a requirement.

Most will find that when typing in the forms, there is room for more letters if you use mixed case than if you type everything in ALL CAPS. There will be times when you need to mix case just to fit things in.

When hand filling forms, the key is legibility. I print in all capital letters but I don't print on forms unless absolutely necessary.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Thanks for understanding...This is probably one of the most important things I have ever done in my life so it means a lot! And I'm doing it only with the help of you guys...I feel so blessed that there is a community that understands what I am going thru and can answer even the most trivial matters. So if I have to bump up against some rudeness I just think of the great success stories I've read here and carry on!
