You can apply for SSN right after u have ur marriage certificate and u do not have to wait for Adjustment of status. But even with SSN u need to have the EAD or employment authorization to work. U can work with EAD even if u have no AOS yet and get a job to help save up for Adjustment of status.

In short u go apply for ur SSN and EAD or Employment AUthorization so u can work and help save up for ur Adjustment of status. As long as u got married within the 90 days period u will be okay for now.

U are not as bored as i was when i first came here coz u have ur daughter with u. I left my 2 kids in the Phils. when i came here for 3 yrs. before they finally came here so do not ever think of going home coz u are bored..u are lucky u have ur child.

Marriage is not a bed of roses.. be ready for the adjustment period. Ive been there done that and wellbe happily married for 5 yrs now with my hubby and our 3 kids.

U can do it,,good luck.

Can't get a SSN when being out of status. They check immigration status, and if there's less than two weeks left of authorized stay on the i-94, then they usually argue that it's too late. But you can always swing by the SSA, bring documentation and ask if they'll issue you a SSN, just remember documentation.

Work permit/EAD is only valid for as long as the i-94 is valid. OP's i-94 expired in December(she entered in September).

In this case, I'd advise your husband to borrow money for AOS and EAD(and AP), either from family or friends or take a loan if you're becoming desperate to get out of the house. Waiting around for another 3 months isn't going to kill you but speaking from experience, I'd rather have those papers sent out ASAP and help repay the money when getting a job myself if being in your shoes.

Edit; and as someone else pointed out, you don't have to file AOS before the 90 days. Talk to your husband and ask him what are the possibilities of asking someone to lend him the money for AOS, or atleast have him help you not feeling too homesick - his support is important(in my opinion). Do you have any way of communicating with your family? Skype or so?
