I sent in my completed application in January.

It arrived 1-17 (I tracked it UPS.

I received receipt email 1-19 at TSC saying my application was being routed to the CSC.

My account shows 'last updated 1-23'

I received my I-797 1-24

My questions are:

--Why was i transferred to the CSC?

--Did I send to the wrong service Center? I thought I followed the instructions

--Should I be concerned it was sent to the CSC and not processed at the TSC?

--How will I know if it was received in the CSC?

I am sure I am stressing for no reason, but I am eager to start my marriage and I want no blips. Thank you for any and all who respond.

The Dallas lockbox is just a sorting center, basically. They always send it on to another service center to process. Relax!

TSC doesn't process K-1 petitions. You sent your petitition to the Dallas lockbox, like everybody, which is different from TSC. It is then transfered to either CSC or VSC (the only 2 SC which process K-1 petitions).

You did nothing wrong, it's just following the normal routine. Please update your profile and fill in your timeline with CSC.

If you received your first I-797 notice of action (NOA1), your petition is now at the SC, California for your case. Now you can wait about 4-5 months without any news (less if you're lucky).

Yup you are stressing for no reason and you should update your profile to show CSC. Texas is not a service center as you have learned.

Texas is not a service center as you have learned.

There are many USCIS offices in Texas and several near Dallas. The one in Mesquite is definitely a service center but not one that currently processes I-129F petitions. TSC is in Mesquite, a Western suburb of Dallas, about 50 miles from the lockbox facility which is actually in Lewisville, a NW suburb of Dallas.
