Hello from Dayton, OHIO. I have my fiancee in Cebu City, Philippines. I just got back as of last Wednesday from there! I wanted to introduce myself to everyone, and hope to discuss what i need to do first while I am in the USA, and she's in the Philippines. I am going back in January, or Febuary to Marry her. What can I do while I'm waiting to go back at that time? Thanks!

Welcome aboard. Myself and Jenny decided to go the fiancee route, because it was much quicker. You could start the project now if financee and she might be here as early as june. As to start there is a good checklist in the "Guides" I believe. I didn't find this site until I was late in the process and really wished that I had looked over that information first. The Material in the Guides and Faq are a must read.

Sad to say the route you want to take is not the fastest way to get her a visa to the US. It would be much faster to begin the process now to get her a K1 fiance visa and then marry her here. However, if you want to marry her there you should by all means inform the US Embassy in the Phillipines that you are there with the intention of getting married. If you do not go through this step, her visa will get held up for a long time as the BCIS really frowns upon a person going to a country on a visitor's visa and then getting married. Get advice here or from a lawyer. Good luck!!!!
