Let's start a thread for March interviewees waiting for the big day! I know there's already a few out there, and I hope to see more joining soon.

Add yourself to the list and let us know what's on your mind :)

Laure&Colin: March 27

I scheduled my medical for March 13, and I bought airline tickets for April 12. Yeah I know, they say you shouldn't buy them before you have your visa in hand, but their price might triple by that time!

04/08/24: interview scheduled for 05/14. Received "We have taken an action in your case" email.

your process was so fast! wohooo! congrats! i hope that would happen to mine too! we will also buy the plane ticket when i had the schedule for medical and interview. it would be wise if we schedule my flight 10days after the interview! i know it so seems to be so excited but we will be just saving for the ticket fee!

yay, Our interview is on Tuesday, March 13th, my hubbie has not scheduled his appt. yet. I'm the USC, I am not sure if I'm going to go with him, even though I want to... we are not going to buy his tickets yet because we don't know what the turn around is going to be in our case. We have all the faith in the world and for now this is a huge step for us...

Wow, I hope these tickets you are buying are refundable. I personally won't be feeling good until my wife informs me she has a visa in her hands.

No, they're not, but if I wait until after I receive the visa, I'd either have to wait a couple months to be able to get affordable tickets, which is a big "no way" for us, or spend about 3 times more than I just did! It's a bet but I think it's actually pretty safe considering our case :)

Who's planning to have the US spouse attend the interview, if it's allowed in their particular embassy? Colin will come with me :)

I'll be going to my wife's interview. Tokyo seems to have no problem letting the US spouse attend.

I just bought my ticket to Montréal yesterday, so I'll be going! I thought US citizens were always allowed in a US consulate/embassy?

The interview will be the first day of a two week trip, so our cat is coming with me too. Doubt she'll be allowed into the consulate, despite being an American. (No joke, when I was traveling back to the US with her after an extended stay in Canada, the American border guard asked me in all seriousness if she was "an American cat"...) :luv:
