Hi all

I cant get around printing out the chat logs of skype since i started chattting with my fince since January 2011.

Can someone help pls.

What I did was copy/paste our chats into a word process when I was saving chats. But we tend to talk more on Skype then chat so now I do a PRINT SCREEN showing both of us and the current date, then paste that into a word processor.

i just downloaded a free program to take screenshots and i used it on both skype and facebook

here is how you print you sky history look at the pic

just slect the period for whihc you want to retrive your chat history .after that right click on the text in skype and slect (select all) after that right clikc again and slect copy (ctr+c) open any text editor or word and paster your text after that print it simple if you still cant figure it out let me know i will be able to help you through remote assistant

Here's a way that will work on both Windows and Mac to download Skype chat and/or call logs. It pulls the data from your username's main.db file.

Yeah, my fiancé used that program to pull logs since he's on a Windows machine. It doesn't work if you're on a Mac, though.

I tried to follow these instructions, I have a mac too, but my skype folder is not there where it's supposed to be.... I read that iOS Lion hides it and dont know where to dig it out!! I guess I can go "old school" with copy and paste but its quite a long work! any advice?

Did you try searching for it using Finder? Search for main.db.

Edit: Try this...

In the "Terminal," type:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE

followed by the command

killall Finder

You should be able to see your Skype files in the folder User/Local User Name/Library/Application Support/Skype/

just tried and nothing comes up, did the search in all my files but nothing ( thx tho for the advice.

thx, now I manage to see my skype folder by going thro the "normal route" BUT if i try to open the database thro SQLite then I don't even have Library in my Local User Name :///

yeah, it's quite weird.. tried to switch off and start again but nothing changed...! thx so much for taking the time to look into it!!
