Hello everyone.

My wife entered the US on 12/8/2011 and we were married in the eyes of the State of Montana on 12/22/2011. We simply went to the Clerk of Court and signed out marriage certificate in the presence of a CoC employee and received several certified copies of the certificate. We asked the lady to take our picture...... That is our only wedding photo at this point

We will conduct a full Wedding ceremony in the Summer.....that way we'll have favorable weather and time.

We'd like to file our AOS in the next couple of weeks, so my question is...... Should we include in our cover letter a paragraph explaining our Summer plans? OR Is the certified marriage certificate along with our other evidence enough?

TIA

Congrats!!! As mentioned before me, yes you are married and like many of us on this "Journey" we had to do the civil ceremony. I got married at the county clerk's office and we are planning our wedding later this year in Maui. The uncertainty and the slow process of bringing our loved ones, doesn't allow us the luxuary to properly plan what is due to our wonderful spouse's.

Congrats again!
