I-130 and TN Status

In the section on page 1 regarding "If your relative is currently in the U.S...", I've entered:

He or she arrived as a: TN Status

Arrival/Departure Record (I-94): xxx-xxxxxxxx

Date Arrived: 04/19/2010

Date authorized stay expired, or will expire, as shown on Form I-94: 0419/2013

Now, my I-94 actually says on it "Jan 04 2012", but I have an I-797A form from when I changed jobs that actually has no expiry date on it, however the paper that came with the I-797A says "VALID FROM 04/19/2010 UNTIL 04/19/2013"

So my question is this... should my "Date Arrived" be:

- The first date I arrived in the US (the first time I originally got my TN)?

- The date stamp on my actual I-94 (Jan 5, 2009)?

- The "valid from" date on my I-797A?

Also, should my date expires be 04/19/2013 as on my I-797A, or 01/04/2012 as on my actual I-94?

If I recall, this was actually the third renewal of my TN status, originally entering the U.S in May of 2006.

Just wanting to make sure I put the right dates on here!

Same question for the I-485 too. It asks "Date of last arrival".. should that be the last time I entered the country, or the valid from date on my I-797A?

They want to know the date of the last time you entered the US - when you were last inspected at the border. As to expires on, my feeling is you should put the day your status expires (2013) even though your I-94 says something different because it is outdated. Good luck. I think there are a few TN threads floating around that may have more specifics for you.

Ah, my mistake. My AOS is FROM a work based visa to a family based greencard.

Oh boy, I have no idea when the last time I crossed the border was. It was long before we were married... I'll ask her, maybe she has a better memory

I will agree with Harpa.

That's how the lawyer filled my application (I did adjust from a TN). You will most likely have to photocopy everything anyway (your original I-94, your new paperwork, your passport...) to support your application.

Yeah definitely planning on sending the I-94, the I-797A, and the page that came with the I-797A that shows the new expiry date.

The last time I entered the US was august 2009. So I guess I'll be putting that, rather than the 4/19/2010 thats on my I-94 as the "valid from" date
