i know that i only need to fill out part I of the DS-230 but what do i do with part II... do i throw it away or do i just return it to the embassy blank??

Aren't you supposed to sign part II at your interview?

i dont know lol.... it doesnt say anything about part II. this is from the embassy website...

Step One: Complete the Forms DS-230-Part 1... etc etc

and then...

What Happens Next? On receipt of the Forms DS-230-I... etc etc

i'm not from the UK, but our instructions say to fill out part I and mail it back. i THINK you will bring part II and fill it out at the interview.

once we sent all the forms back, we got a letter with an interview date :thumbs:

12/13/2011 -- NOA2!! :)

12/22/2011 -- NVC letter

1/03/2012 -- Marco received package 3

1/25/2012 -- Received interview date of 2/27

2/16/2012 -- Medical exam in Amsterdam- a breeze! BMR and DKTP shots given

2/27/2012 -- Interview in Amsterdam- Denied, need to obtain Belgian police certificate & reschedule

3/13/2012 -- Delivered Belgian P.C. to Consulate... status: APPROVED! :)

4/11/2012 -- POE Philadelphia :)

5/19/2012 -- Wedding!

DS230 is for K-1 as well? thought it's just for CR1/marriage. Is this consulate/embassy specific because I thought its just the 156 forms needed for K1

why cant they just make things clear lol.

its slightly different here... we dont get an interview date until we have completed and returned all the forms and completed the medical, collected all required documents... and then returned form DS-2001 to say we are ready

i think it is needed for all K-1 but some embassies require part I and some require part I and part II. you would need to check that to be sure though

YES throw it away.

At the risk of thread jacking do I have to bring a copy of the initial I-129F to the interview?

NO you do not need it.
