Do you think they would let her pick up the visa instead of waiting for it to be delivered? Reason we ask is becuse I am going away for traiing for a month and they told her she would receive her visa by the 1st... which is when she needs it to get here before I go away to JRTC. If I call the embassy on her behalf can i arrange for a pick up instead of 2g0 ? As it stands now the embassy still didnt mail off the visa.

It is worth doing two options. First, call the US Embassy Manila and tell them the situation. If they allow, that's working for you. On the other hand, since her interview, that's arranged already with the 2go courier and they might have barcoded the parcel that includes her passport and the sealed documents. I have heard from others, she can pick it up from the nearest 2go center in her hometown. I hope this helps!

I would think it would be easier on your Bride to stay with her family for the month rather then being on the military base by herself as you will be gone for a month. Just saying...

She wouldnt be on a military base she would be with my parents. I want to get enrolled in deers and start her benefits before I go. Besides is getting to the borderline of flight in her pregnacy.

Ah... my opps!

Back to the drawing board...

If you can't get the embassy to allow pick up there, it might be possible to call 2GO and explain the situation also, they can arrange for her to pick it up at one of their locations. Once it is ready at the embassy 2GO seems pretty quick.

hard to say, as she's already had the interview and it's been approved.

Could certainly call in and inquire.

Good Luck, however it goes.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

For her to get the Visa on Feb 1st 2Go would have in on either Jan 30 or 31st.

When Anna got Carlo's Visa In Dec (2011) it showed up in 2go tracking the evening before she received it.

Anna had asked about pick-up at the Embassy and was told they don't do that anymore but you can arrange with 2go to pick it up at one of their locations.

The time between Interview approval and Visa delivery is the longest few days of both of your loves but it will pass. Back in December it was taking just about 1 week from Approval at Interview to Visa in Hand with a few taking a couple of days more.

So they pretty much send it right off after they print it ?

It was about a week for my wife to get it between printing and delivery in Davao City. We were pretty quick on that compared to others at the same time last September. 2go never was able to track her visa, and even the day she received it, calls to them said they didn't know where it was or if they even had it. Some other's waiting at the same time waited two weeks from printing to delivery. I know we were all set to rebook her airline tickets if it didn't show up by the day after it did. I should mention there was a 2 day holiday in the Philippines between our approval and printing to the delivery, which kind of mucked up the timing and knowing exactly when things happened.

I really hope she gets it in time. Good luck.

Do the PI send mail on Sat or Sun ?

Mail isn't how it will arrive. Not sure 2GO works Sunday. And for sure the embassy isn't working Saturday or Sunday, so if 2GO didn't get it today there won't even be a change of 2GO picking it up until Monday.
