My application has reached the NVC and a case number has been assigned to it. Typically how long does it take for the Choice of Agent form to be generated and mailed out?

I can't say how long but since you need a signature I would look at the shortcuts link here on VJ so you can speed up the process since you need a signature of your significant other. That way you can get a little jump on the game. Good luck

It can take a couple of weeks. Just keep calling the automated phone service and you will hear an update on your case. Have a read of NVC Timesavers and James Shortcuts. Once you hear that the choice of agent (DS-3032) and AOS fee bill have been generated you can email the choice of agent. It is not an option given by NVC but it is an option that many members have been using for quite some time now, in order to save time. You also have the option of using James Shortcuts for self generating. Read about them in the link above.

Yep, I am familiar with James Shortcuts and am surely going to use it. I am going to email the choice of agent form and I have the biographic information form filled and signed by my wife and are ready to go. Just wanted to know when the forms would be 'generated' so that I can kick start the process.

Also another question. Should I now request my company's HR department to send me a proof of employment letter?

As the I-864 will be generated after the AOS bill is paid, it would be a good plan to start getting all that documentation together.

You will need to replace the barcode at the bottom of the page. Again, go to http://www.idautomation.com/java/linearservlet.html. Select CODE 39. Select "No" for the "Add check digit," "Add check digit to text," and "Show text below barcode" options. Change the X dimension to 0.07 and the Barcode bar height to 0.85. Click on Create Barcode.

when i generate it for AOS fee bill, it displays the Powered by IDAutomation.com. can i just photoshop that and paste it on the Word document or will it alter it once i save it from photoshop? what did others do for the AOS fee bill?

FYI - My case was received at the NVC on Sept 22nd. My Choice of Agent and AOS Fee Bill were generated yesterday. That's my timeline. Hope that helps.

mine was sept 21, and it was generated yesterday. so it looks like about 10-12 days
