I have a question for you guys and i was hoping you could help out.Recently i have read some good information about what to do when you receive your NOA2 and some guy mentioned that i will require 2 US SIZED PHOTOS. Now i am curious as to how i am suppose to get them.. I understand that they must be a recent photo of you so i cannot go to America take 2 us sized photos and comeback to england. i was wondering if any of you guys know if you can get us visa photos in UK? and where? Thank youuuu =].

I took a photo myself and uploaded it to a photo service online (I can't remember which one but there are dozens) It allows you to crop it and helps you size it to the requirements for the US then you can either print it off yourself for free or pay them to do it. I got 4 for £3.99.

Didn't you send any with the original application? I'm sure I had to have some for that too. That was for a K1 visa though, so maybe that's different.

As suggested - print 'em yourself! Or use one of the sites suggested like epassportphoto.com and save the photos on a memory card / USB stick and take it to Boots or similar to print out.

For the ones for the actual interview, I got at Goulds pharmacy in London near the Embassy. But there are other places that will do them too.

Go to Asda, the passport photo booths there let you take 'visa' photos at a cost of £7 . For me, I've done this once over, and then scanned them in, shoved one into epassportphoto and continued to get free photos after the initial shoot!

You'll be going to London for your medical before the interview. There's places on Oxford St near the Bond St. tube station that advertise American sized pasport photos. Or Gould's Pharmacy where you will store your electronic items before going to the interview also take photos. You don't need them until the interview.

To make your own, the US Dept of State offers a nifty tool where you upload a photo and it sizes it properly. We just used that for my passport renewal and husband's citizenship application. I thought it was way easier than the online services that will do it free but try to sell you photos along the way.

If you do go the Asda - epassportphoto route, remember that US passport photos are longer on the bottom, the top doesn't matter so much. I'm about and inch too slouchy, and I needed to sit with my back RIGHT against the wall.
