I recently read an opinion from someone in the Irsaeli Military which said that Iran obtaining nuclear weapons might prevent some of the heavy handed tactics they employ in Gaza and the West Bank. However, with such close ties between Hamas, a terrorist organization, and the official representatives of the Palestinian people, I fear Iran getting nuclear weapons would push up a war. I think we can all agree that terrorists like Hamas getting access to nuclear weaponry is a doomsday scenario.

Pakistan and India was OK. Israel was OK. It was Ok for countries in Europe. and the list goes on. Now Iran is going to get them it is up to the U.S. to make sure we take them out.

They were not OK, where on earth did you get that from? We simply had no capacity to affect change in their course of action. Furthermore, none of those countries has a stated goal of evicerating Israel, like Iran does.

Why is it the U.S. job to make sure that Israel is safe? Pakistan and India are mortal enemies. N. Korea stated aims is to unify and/or destroy the South. And so on. We don't like Iran so we take the lead to pin point them.

These nations while you say they are mortal enemies are far more stable than Iran. Iran has a state goal of destroying Israel, and have direct ties to Hamas, a terrorist group and recognized government of Palestine.

USA should renegotiate all of it's Cold War era contracts and withdraw from Germany, Japan and S. Korea. Leave Israel to themselves. Interesting how there is more soldiers stationed in S.Korea than on US-Mexico border. What is the point of borrowing money and slipping deeper into debt to maintain presence across the world in some cca 800 bases? All of the aforementioned countries are grown up and stable economies.
