Hi all

I’m student in OPT and I’m filing for adjustment of states I have my OPT Card that still valid,

I’m trying to submit i-765 form with my application because my work authorization will expire soon

My Question is when I fill the form i-765 do I need to put

Permission to accept employment (option number 1)

Or

Renewal of my Permission to accept employment (option number 3)

And for Question number 16 is C09 or C9?

Had exact same situation. I put option 3 (renewal) and C9. It was accepted, and pending as of now. Did my biometrics for EAD and AOS last week.

It is new application because the category is different than before. Renewal only refers to renewal of EAD in the same category as per the instructions. They do have the option to change it, so I hope it was changed for you and that it won't be denied. Good luck to you both.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
