Hi. Do the passport photos for K1 & AOS have to be the same?

Are there any regulations for the photos such as no makeup for girls and facial hair for men etc????

No, they don't have to be the same photos.

There is not a no-make up rule or no facial hair rule. All features simply have to be visible. No glasses, no head wear, etc. The passport photo place will do it properly.

all i know is they have to be taken within the last 6 months priot to submission so if lets say u dont have enough copies u can either get reprints IF the last ones were taken within 6 months or just get 'em taken again..

Section titled "Initial evidence" page 3, section 4.

You may not use the same photographs becasue the passport sized photographs you must submit must have been taken within 30 days of filing the form. I'm not sure where people got the 6 month information from.
