The best advice I can give anyone starting out would be to not be overly worried about the process. The interviews (K Visa or AOS) are not anywhere near as bad as you think they're going to be.

Read the instructions carefully that go with each individual form (on the USCIS website) before you send it in. The instructions are always right before the form or right after the form on the USCIS website. And then you can also look at the "Example Forms" here on the VJ site to get more input.

Good luck and best wishes for a speedy process.

My advise? Read the instructions that accompany the I-129F and comply with whatever is asked of you in the instructions. No more; no less.

There are many here that preach the more is better philosophy. You'll never go wrong if you simply comply with what you were asked for.

Resist submitting lots of superfluous information with your petition in an attempt to circumvent possible RFE's (request for evidence).

This process is somewhat adversarial. Submitting more than asked for, particularly in "evidence" can actually put you at risk.

1. Please read the guides.

2. Do not expect your case to be like any other.

3. Be patient. This process can be long and that is why I say do not compare your case to anyone else's.

Good luck and may your journey be smooth.

Mary
