Got my IL yesterday. Interview will be on April 19th.... The Interview Letter itself says to bringn your spouse's birth cert, naturalization cert, or CERTIFICATE OF CITIZENSHIP.

The attached INTERVIEW DOCUMENT CHECKLIST, however, section 3A says to bring: "... birth certificate, naturalization certificate, certificate of citizenship, your spouse's valid US passport, or Form FS240....."

Now..my citizenship certificate is in storage in a safe somewhere in another city. it'll cost about $300 to go fly there and get it. My passport is readily handy. Does anyone know why one paper says to bring Cert of Citizenship, while another says Valid US Passport will do?

well .... this is to proof your citizenship, which your passport proves anyway. Though I cannot speak for your office :D .... depends on how daring you are feeling :D :D. If I were you, I wouldnt spend the 300 and take passport anyway, or try to get somebody (like friend, family, neighbor etc) get the certificate for me.

Siblings petition last time I checked time around 10 years for processing.... give or take. But for parents it's roughly about 6 months to a year to get their green card give or take. It's probably quicker for the parent to file for your siblings once they get their GC as opposed to waiting 10 year for your petition for them to get approved and all that. Just my opinion though. Check out the immediate family forum. It's a wealth of information! :)

that's still 8 yrs behind :)

Siblings petition last time I checked time around 10 years for processing.... give or take. But for parents it's roughly about 6 months to a year to get their green card give or take. It's probably quicker for the parent to file for your siblings once they get their GC as opposed to waiting 10 year for your petition for them to get approved and all that. Just my opinion though. Check out the immediate family forum. It's a wealth of information! :)

Well it's still better than 30!!! Or not having that option!! :D You should know this by now.... it's all a waiting game with USCIS. :) They REALLY bring the patience out of us!!!! :)

Still no interview date for me. sad.gif

I did get a notice that my case was placed in line for an interview and I assume my fingerprints were waived since I took them less than a year ago for my removal of conditions.. but I am anxiously waiting for the Interview letter! Updating my status for fingerprints.

At least you have been moved onto the next step. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before you and USA82 get your interview letters.

Speaking of getting notices... I just logged into the USCIS website and got this lovely message:

On March 27, 2012, we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice providing the date, time, and location. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

:dance::dance:I am hoping it's for the April 22nd Southern California ceremony.
