Yaaaay!!! A few seconds ago I got an email!! Yaaaaay!!!

On February 9, 2012, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a written notice with a time and place for your interview. Please check the website for further updates on your case. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

I'm curious if you are already eligible for naturalization or if your 3/5 year LPR anniversary is in March/April. Seems like that information in the lists would be more useful for comparisons than when a check was cashed.

I just thought what if we also add to the list the date of receiving "in line for interview scheduling" email? It looks like it is one of the milestones while processing N400, and I believe many people would love to see this info

Agree, but I still think Eligible Date would be helpful because the two people who have advanced are already past their date while people not eligible until April haven't progressed to that milestone. Sounds like a trend. It should be the first column (or after NOA date). And when mailed is so-so because we live different distances from Dallas (for example) or used overnight delivery or mailed on a holiday weekend. Priority date is really enough to slot you in an order.

this is true ..... eligibility date (resident since date on PR card) should be much useful information on N400 process tracking.

I like the idea of having both the Eligible Date and Scheduling Date. If someone's updating the columns, I've been an LPR since 3/2009. I still have received no update to my case. Today officially marks 30 days since they received my application, so I might give them a call and report back later.

Congrats! I wonder how long it takes from the time they "place you in line for interview scheduling" to:

1) the time they mail you the letter / the time you get the letter in the mail

2) the interview date

ive seen some in other threads wait months from the time they got "placed in line for interview scheduling" to the time they actually get a date. Others got the letter in a week or two. hmmmm....

04/20/2004 Got married in the Philippines, and lived between here and there

10/15/2008 Husband arrives in USA on B1/B2 Tourist Visa

12/19/2008 Sent I-130 & I-485 AOS package via USPS Priority

12/21/2008 Package delivered

Hey everyone. Currently on vacation, so I've not been able to get online as much as usual. But I just checked in on the USCIS website aaaand...

"Your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION is now scheduled for interview. You will receive a written notice with a time and place for your interview. You should receive this notice within 14 days. If you do not receive this notice within 14 days from February 8, 2012, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address."

Looking forward to getting home in a few days and hopefully my interview date letter will be there when I get back, or at least not far behind. For what it's worth, I've been a PR since Sept 2006 (adjusted from K-1 Visa). So I've been eligible to be a Citizen for a few years now.

i have a question....i read here somewhere that if you had you biometrics within the last 15 months you are not required to do biometrics again....but when i checked my status it says that im scheduled for biometrics... last time i done my FP was january 2011.. so technically im still within the '15 month' rule....i know the biometric fee is non-refundable whether you are schedule for it or not and paid it...but i could have save driving 3 hours just to have my FP all over again..is there really '15 month' rule for biometrics? ;)

well i guess theres no way around it... checked my status today and it says they sent a letter for my FP...oh well.. :D
