How Long Before I get NOA

Hi Everyone

I came a cross this forum and wanted to see if anyone had similar experience like I do. On December 11 I mailed my I-485, I-765, copy of approved I-130, to the Chicago lock box office. The package was delivered on Thursday December 14 and since than I haven't received either text/emal or hard copy of the NOA. I know that hard copy can take some time but email and text usually does not. I'm really freaking out. I called them yesterday and they said they don't have my case on file and if nothing happens in 45 days I can resend my papers. 45 days is just too much for me to wait. Any suggestions. Has anyone had a similar experience.This is not my first case with USCIS and it never took this long to hear back from them.

January 14 - Biometrics Letter (I-765) in the mailbox (Appointment 2/8/2012
January 23 - Biometrics done for both applications.
February 6 - Interview Letter in Mailbox (Online status hasn't changed since December 24th)
February 9 - EAD card production ordered.
February 21 - EAD in hands.
March 8 - Interview (approved) no decision on the spot
March 8 - Card Production
March 9 - Decision
March 17 - GC in Hands

Finally time for AOS.......

12/07/11 Sent AOS package

12/09/11 AOS package delivered

12/14/11 Received NOA for I-485 and I-765 (we're not applying for AP)

12/22/11 Received letter for Biometrics

01/04/12 Biometrics in Phoenix

01/31/12 Received email update from USCIS saying that we've been scheduled for an interview

02/03/12 Got an email saying card production had been ordered for my EAD...now just to wait for the card...

02/09/12 Received email saying EAD card has been sent

02/13/12 Received EAD card :D :D :D :D

03/06/12 Interview in Phoenix :).....Approved :D

03/14/12 Received Green card in mail.....

....no more USCIS until December 2013

Yes I did. I sent all necessary apps and supporting evidence. As a matter of fact if they ask for RFE i have nothing else to send them so I believe this would be a case only if they loose something. I really did my homework on this and I sent absolutely everything that has to do with me and my wife and us being in the US. I was just wandering is this usual to wait for SMS/Email for this long. Also why would they tell me that they have nothing on file for me since 2010 when they received my documentation more than a week ago. Thant's weird.

You can join the December aos filers, people normally post updates if there are any. Otherwise you can follow a couple of timelines that are similar to yours. I wouldn't call them until 4 weeks have passed, only because I know it's right around the holidays, some are off, and it's a busy season for mail.

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)
