OK, since this topic is relevant to my current situation, I'll post a followup question. We got our NOA2 two weeks ago, and are still awaiting our NVC case number. My fiancee is in Toronto, and I just this past week had my father fill out his i-134 as co-sponsor. After debate, we decided that he should select "do not intend" on item 11, since there is no specific amount or schedule of contributions he intends to make, only as needed. If experienced eyes are reading this, and while there is still time, should I have him, as co-sponsor, re-do the form with item 11 as "intend"? How about my own i-134? I know we're working with a very different consulate than the OP is, but after reading this, I'm concerned.

Thank you for responses.

That's exactly my same situation. At first, I just had both of our checked as "do not intend" and sent it to my fiance that way. But then after thinking about it for awhile, I figured I'd better be safe than sorry and click the Intend box for both mine and my mom's i-134. My mom, like your dad, won't specifically give an exact amount of money, but since I live with her now, he will live with her as well. So she really is giving him room/board as necessary. I don't know if that helps you out at all? But I feel a bit better knowing that I sent in with "intend" checked in case, like the OP was asked, "how do you intend to support yourself?" if no one else intends to.

It's just a really odd question, because the whole purpose of the i-134 is that the person signing it is pledging support, so why ask unless they're wondering if there's to be a specified amount?

AgLovesAeron, I didn't mean to cause you concern, rather just to clarify things for my own case. I'm sorry if i have got you worried!

That particular question is a bit strange, of course our fiances will support us. I am going to have Kedron check the 'i intend' box and write a little bit of detail because that is what my CO said! I hope it works!

I am so frustrated with the waiting! Kedron has mailed me two copies of the i134 with both the VJ answer and the CO answer while we do our research and decide what one to send. Hopefully by this time next week i should have it and be organising a courier to come pick it up with my passport! I just hope it hasnt put us back too much!

Good luck and thank you to everyone who has responded!

LOVE!

Jessica & Kedron
