I am wondering about question 17 in i-130 .I am a american citizen filing the petition for my husband I was looking at a example form, and it listed the petioner under where it is asking for more information about the alien relitive and any childern, i do not know if this was a typo mistake and want to double check with someone who has

are you husband has kids ? if your husband was married before and had kids, the kids should go into that category. If he doesn't just write N/A

Better off to write "None" if your husband doesn't have kids. "N/A" means "Not applicable" and this question is applicable in your case.

I really didnt like the i-130 app, there were so many areas for mistakes, but, i put myself i followed the example, good luck

Yes, you will put yourself. The question is asking about the spouse and children of your relative. Since you are the spouse, you will put yourself. It may sound stupid, but keep in mind that the I-130 is also used to apply for other family members such as parents, siblings, etc.

You have to put YOUR name there, aka the petitioner, since you are the wife of your husband

I know it sounds weird but remember this form is also used by people filing for their parents, siblings or children, so the spouse mentioned in 17 in these cases can be a third person. For petitioners filing for their spouse, it's themselves.

We followed the example and our petition got approved by USCIS without RFE.
