Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Penguin is correct. The only "elected" office that specifies "Natural Born Citizen" is President. I am not sure if this provision would keep someone out of the line of succession as well. It may simply make one ineligable to succeed and be skipped in line.

Need at least a quarter of a billion bucks to run for president, but only about 50 million bucks to run for a senators office. 20 million with a good story could get you in congress. You could run for coroner in our county, the guy in there is not even a doctor, needs one of those to determine the cause of death, but does have to identify the body, some are pretty mangled up and fill out the paperwork. As long as I can remember, same guy running unopposed, guess no one else wants his job. Good chance of you getting that office.
