I just recently sent my I-130 to USCIS. I got my NOA1 already but because we have been married for only a few months I realized that maybe I didn't send enough evidence as bonafide marriage and I'm worried that might affect the case. I contacted UCIS and was told that I can send more evidence as long as I include a copy of the NOA1 in the package. Has anyone here done this? If so, did it delay the case further? :bonk:

I sent the marriage certificate, old pictures together(we've been together for 10 years),western union receipts over the years, cover letter about our long relationship.. Now I want to send my passport stamps, phone bills, and affidavits from family and friends. I wanted to send them now and not wait for an RFE because it could delay the process.

Despite what you were told on the phone (other VJ members call it the misinformation line for a reason), anything you send to USCIS unsolicited is nothing more than an exercise in futility because anything you send unsolicited will not get matched with your file.

Based on your list of what you have already sent, I believe you will not receive an RFE for the items that you have indicated you wish to send.

If you want those items to be included with the file that will be reviewed by a CO prior to the interview taking place, you can send those items to the NVC with the DS-230 and documents that accompany the DS-230. Be aware that if you choose to include items with the DS-230 that are not asked for by the NVC, it will likely slow the processing of your case at the NVC. Regardless of whether or not you choose to send those items to the NVC, they should be brought to the interview.

Hi,

I really like the comments of the others take heed to what they say because they're right, until they give you an REF you don't want to send papers and they don't make it to your case. Trust me i understand the craziness that this wait brings lol but every day makes it easier and things starts working eventually, right now just make sure you have papers ready for NVC if you haven't been working on those yet. Good luck sweet heart it'll get better soon. God bless

whoa .

I've never heard this.

Let's say, for the moment, that it's a statistical anomoly (loosely termed, also, as a bullsh|t) answer from a Tier 1 CSR at USCIS hotline)

Could ya do us a favor, this week?

Call back twice a day, once in the morning, once in the afternoon, for Thursday and Friday,

and

ask the exact same question, and then note the answers in a log book,

then Friday evening, come back, let us know the answers from yer log book ?

Historically, this just wasn't done - to add in more stuff to the casefile whilst it's at USCIS without any RFE.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I used a lawyer and the only time I showed any proof besides my marriage certificate was at the interview. We only knew each other 4 months before marriage and were married one year 2mths on the day of our interview. We had enough evidence to pass our interview. My husband has been home 12 days now feel free to ask me any questions the info is fresh in my mind and should still be relevant for a while.

I agree. People send additional stuff to USCIS often, but I wouldn't unless they ask for it. Bring everything with you at the interview, thats where it matters most. BocaChica is correct too, send some with the DS-230, But bring all of it to Interview at the embassy.
