OMG OMG OMG OMG

I received the biometrics appt letter today!!! I can't believe how fast this is moving, i mailed my packet out on 12/05, they received my packet on 12/06, cashed my check on 12/09, and now the biometrics appt scheduled for 1/06! I love my service center!

Removal of Conditions (I-751) Timeline:

  • Nov 20th, 2011: Initial Submission Sent
  • Dec 3rd, 2011: Conditional Green Card expires
  • Dec 12th, 2011: Panic! USPS returned package to local Post Office on Nov 25th and didn't tell us!
  • Dec 13th, 2011: Re-sent Package (now late)
  • Dec 19th, 2011: NOA1 received
  • Jan 06th, 2012: Date of Bio Appointment
  • Aug 24th, 2012: Removal of Conditions Approved (letter received 8/29)

The story so far:

  • Aug 2003: Met future wife on her year abroad at university
  • 2005: After a year of long distance, enter USA on F1 visa (we knew we liked each other, weren't sure enough to get married)
  • May 2008: Finish courses, begin 1 year OPT
  • May 2009: Get Married, begin adjustment of status process
  • Dec 3rd 2009: Receive conditional green card

Grrr, I paid almost $20 for Express Mail for garanteed next 2 day delivery and they "missent" it whatever that mean? After frantic online tracking and a few calls to the wonderful USPS it finally made it to Vermont. Oh well, it finally got delivered a few days late, but delivery confirmation signed by D. Renaud....whew. Now the waiting really begins.

Removal of Conditions

12/18/11: I-751 Mailed - Express Mail to VSC

12/21/11: Arrived in Vermont signed by D. Renaud

12/22/11: NOA Date

12/23/11: Check Cashed

You should have signed up for tracking on your package -- you can check USPS' website for updates if you have the tracking number. Did you send it priority or express?

As for the check, you simply have to check your bank account to find out if it has been cashed.

I sent my package on the 10th (Priority Mail), it was received on the 16th (thanks, holidays...), and I haven't had any action on it since then. Chances are that they're slowing down for the holidays. You might not see any action on it until later next week or the new year.

2/18/10 - Advance Parole notice sent

3/5/10 - Advance Parole notice sent back by P.O label undeliverable

3/8/10 - Called USCIS and requested for notice to be resent

3/13/10 - Received Green card approval notice online

3/19/10 - Received hard copy of Approval Letter and Green card. Yay!!!! see you all in 2012

12/12/11 - Getting all the paperwork ready for Removal of Conditions. [Can't believe it's that time already]

12/15/11 - Sent off paperwork with tracking

12/19/11 - Received at VSC

12/21/11 - Check cashed

12/22/11 - Received I797,Notice of Action

12/31/11 - Received Biometrics notice

01/20/12 - Biometrics Appt.

09/15/12 - I797 Notice of Action Approval Decision

09/19/12 - Notice received via USPS and Online

09/22/12 - Green card Received
