Cain Preempts Report Of Alleged 13-Year Affair: ‘Here We Go Again’

Herman Cain is quickly dealing with the latest round of accusations of alleged sexual impropriety — this time, by letting the national media know about it before it hits big.

Cain appeared Monday afternoon on CNN, saying that a woman will soon make a public allegation against him. The news story in question is from the local Fox station in Atlanta, which is teasing an upcoming report that a woman will claim a 13-year affair with the candidate, which he denies.

“This particular individual, which will be named in the story as we understand it — my attorney has talked with a reporter who’s gonna come out with the story — this individual is gonna accuse me of an affair for an extended period of time,” Cain told Wolf Blitzer. “I don’t want to specify, because I don’t know what’s in the story.

“Secondly, it is someone that I know, who is an acquaintance, that I thought was a friend. That much I do know. but other than that, Wolf, when we dealt with the previous allegations, and I went forward, went in front of the public and said they are false, and they’re baseless. We were reacting to what we knew. At this point, I am just simply saying these are gonna come out, and until we know what they are, then my attorney doesn’t know what to respond to. These are all the details that I have.

“Now given that, I know that the court of public opinion is gonna formulate its own opinion. I can’t control people who are gonna make a decisions based upon accusations.”

Cain told Blitzer that his attorney will respond to specifics, as they emerge, while Cain tries to run his campaign. “But I just want to give you a heads-up, and your audience a head-up: Here we go again.”

Cain further denied any truth to the upcoming story, and bemoaned the impact that false allegations against him could have on his family.

Cain is cooked. He has about as much chance of winning the Repub nomination as Perry does...which is slim to none.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

That's because Cain isn't Abel able.

As for Perry,

I was only in high school in '92 when Clinton was running. And '96 when he ran I don't remember hearing much about his accusers then. Anyone around from then, are they treating Cain differently than Clinton?

BTW, I am not a Cain fan.

When you say 'they', are you talking about the media? If so, Clinton's promiscuity was all over the news. I agree with Cain's attorney, however, if a candidate acts self-righteously, then such personal behavior should be the business of the voting public.

Okay, yes they = media

I have been looking for unbiased reports from sources on the web, but they are all tinted with their political viewpoint. Some saying the accusers were attacked as attention seekers, others saying that the media did stories on weekends and what not. Then others saying Clinton was vilified, so I can't be sure.

I think the focus shouldn't be on whether the media in general is being unfair to one candidate or another, but whether candidates should be scrutinized over their private lives when they've publicly admonished personal behavior. For example, should we care if a candidate publicly despises homosexuals while privately having hot, gay sex with male prostitutes? I think we should.

Hypocrites should be exposed, I agree.

I disagree though about the media getting a free pass, as we do rely on them to get our info. If they are unfairly targeting some, while dismissing others, they should be exposed too as hypocritical. May as well be consistent and target them all(individuals and media).

I'm surprised you made the despising gays, while being with men...rather than the example of talking about carbon footprints while flying on private jets

How do you lump the entire media into one single entity? Although there are fewer truly independent media sources out there, the internet has helped even out the playing field, IMO.

Actually, if someone was publicly despising the use of private jets as an unnecessary use of fossil fuels while they themselves flew exclusively on private jets, that would be an example. I don't know of any politician, past or present who has done so, while there seems to be several examples of politician publicly against homosexuality while they themselves engaged in homosexual acts.

Cains big mistake was leaving the Plantation, if he were at home with the Democrats none of this would matter, in fact it might even be a bonus for the guy.

No, his biggest mistake was he had too many bichez. You can hide a small number but this many?
