How much is to much

Getting ready to send out IV package to NVC this morning.Even after minimizing all our pics and our chat and email logs I still have over 400 pages.Doing everything I can to avoid an RFE.

With so much info being sent to the NVC I cant imagine them actually trying to read through all of it.

Do others send this much supporting evidence or am I going overboard a bit.

That's a bit too much. Most of the time they don't even bother to read them. I hate a ton of chat logs as well, but what I did was gathered 1 chat log per week, per month. I then made picture collages of every year/trip/occasion and printed each year on a sheet of photo paper. This was more than enough to be for my K1 petition to be approved.

For IV Package, you do not need to send all those 400 pages. It will be too much. But Just send the requested doc, original doc whatever they asked.

When you have interview, then bring all of these chat logs, email, etc etc to proof that you guys have an on-going relationship. Interview is the real thing when you are your own lawyer and have to prove everything in those minutes.

These are the kinds of things you usually send with the I-130. By sending more items to the NVC than what they request, you will likely slow down the processing of your file there. If you sent those items with the petition, then don't bother sending them to the NVC, if there is something you didn't send with the petition and feel that it's essential that it be in the file that is reviewed prior to an interview, then send it. Otherwise, bring it to the interview.

I may be the opposing opinion here but, I say send it all. I didn't send enough in with the I-130 because I only thought to give them what they asked for to establish the relationship and not much more. I then came on VJ and found out I should have sent in the whole kit and kaboodle.

I say send what you have. For the NVC process, I sent in 500 pages of chat, 100 photos, 5 phone bills, letters of testimony from my family, ect. My case was closed in 3 weeks. The interview, IMHO, is no time to be presenting new evidence to them. I think that especially when dealing with countries that have higher denial rates (my husband is in Casablanca) that establish an ongoing relationship is important. I don't think sending in too much can hurt you...I think sending it too little can. Send it.

Sending more than what was requested will most probably slow down the process. What NVC asks for are only the cover sheet, civil documents, and pictures. I didn't send anything more than those, and our case was closed within 4 business days from the time NVC received my packet.
