After all that we have gone through I wonder what would cause a denial at the AOS interview. I mean other than admitting it was for a green card or other fraud, what stuff can pull you down?

K-1 Journey

03-03-2011 - Mailed I-129F application.

03-06-2011 - Packet received in Texas.

03-23-2011 - NOA1 received in mail, dated 03-09-2011.

05-31-2011 - RFE requested. They want better passport pictures of me.

06-06-2011 - Additional passport pics sent.

06-08-2011 - Evidence received and acknowledged. Whew!

06-16-2011 - NOA2 received!

07-20-2011 - Packet 3 Received!

08-01-2011 - Packet 3 returned to Embassy.

08-22-2011 - Packet 4 Received!

09-19-2011 - Interview...APPROVED!

09-23-2011 - Visa in Hand

09-29-2011 - POE LAX

11-11-2011 - Wedding at 11:11pm GMT time.

AOS Journey

12-02-2011 - Mailed in AOS/EAD/AP paperwork.

12-05-2011 - Delivery confirmation per USPS.

12-27-2011 - (3) NOA I-797C received, dated 12-20-2011. Biometrics appt set.

01-10-2012 - Biometrics.

01-20-2012 - Notified of interview appointment for 2-21-2012.

01-31-2012 - EAD and AP approved.

02-08-2012 - EAD/AP card received.

02-21-2012 - AOS interview approved. EAD/AP card confiscated.

03-01-2012 - Green Card in hand!!!

364 days total time!

Other than that if you lied or they found out that you committed some serious crime.

My EAD was finally approved today but since our AOS interview is next Monday the card will almost be pointless by the time I get it. :lol:

I am not trying to jinx you, but there is no guarantee that you will pass the interview. Having the EAD card can be very handy in my book. DMV would not let my wife take the Instruction Permit test because she has no papers showing her legal status from USCIS.

10-12-2011: Marriage

10-26-2011: Marriage Certificate Received

11-12-2011: SS card "with restrictions" received (took longer due to name discrepancy)

I know there is no guarantee but I am not worried because we have more than enough proof that we have a bona fide marriage. I already have my drivers license here in the US so I don't have to worry about that.

Hello, I just receive interview letter for March 6th, 2012. It is 80 days only to get the interview (+10 days RFE) I wish you guys best of luck. Be positive and patient, everything is gonna be fine. God has eyes on your family.

Isn't it funny some states allow you to get State ID or Driver's License, others don't let you do anything without an EAD or Green Card?

One other question for those who are familiar with Medi-Cal in Cali: Does anyone know what the maximum annual gross income is for a family of three to be eligible for Medi-Cal?
