I'm very sorry for you! But try to see the half-full glass. What if she had come here and you two had married, before finding this out? It would have been a bigger pain in the @$$. Withdraw your petition immediately, although the fact that she didn't go to the interview means that she did not get her visa.

i'm concerned of a future fiancee visa petition if i do finally find the right woman in my life.. Need help! Advice! Thank you!

Just tell them honestly that it just didn't work out. At least it shows that yo are not making money out of wanna be immigrants. Others can correct me but their is easier compared to those people who's ex made in the US up to becoming USC.

awwwweee sorry to hear that, things happens for a reason dnt worry you will find the right one for you.

All I know, is that I need you... I need you in my life as much as I need food or water or air to breathe - for the longest time, I've had this thirst deep inside... only to be known and understood and be loved for who I am. I have longed for someone, someone like you - to share my life with... all the ups and downs and everything in between. then out of no where - you walked into my life, quenching my thirst, satisfying my longing. and I know from every thing with in - that you are the one... you're the one I've been waiting for all this time. I want and I need you - more than I can usually find words to say... But today and always - please believe and know that you're the one for me and I'll hold you close and I'll never want to let you go...

anyone that stupid should probably just give the money away anyway, it is bound to happen, maybe the girl will make better use if it.

Better, from the standpoint of the one paying, is to know they immediately squandered the money and end up broke! At least that is the way I felt about the money I was forced to give my ex by the judge!

i'm still thankful that her cousin called and explained the reason why!
You see? :) This was very positive, even in the face of what might devastate a guy of lesser caliber than you. It's the beginning of better things to come.
I will withdraw the petition immediately.
Super! This will give you closure, which is never to be underrated.

I can tell you that there are a LOT of sweet, beautiful Ecuadorian women who will NOT take you for a ride (their culture is not geared toward that), and who yearn only for a guy who will treat them with consideration and respect. They'll return that loyalty a thousandfold (I speak from experience). When you're healthily past this current episode and you're completely in a position to look ahead, holler to me to get you set on the path, si man.

How long were the two of you together? How did the two of you meet? How much time did you spend together?

Yup - wondering the same questions. The questions might seem a bit invasive.... but on the other hand the answers might be helpful to others on this site.

Sure, it's possible that something like this could happen to a couple who have known each other for several years and spent a lot of time together - but not likely.

My wife & I have known each other for almost 5 years now.... married just this past January.... we have spent many months together over these years in the PI, and she has also been to the U.S. once and met many of my friends and relatives and gotten a taste of life in the U.S. There are no guarantees in life.... but we feel pretty confident in our relationship.

We are sorry to hear the OP's story - but like so many have already said, he is better off in the long run, no doubt!

Still.... it would be interesting to know the answsers to the questions posed, above.

Interesting for us, sure, but the OP needs to look forward, not back. We can be curious, but we shouldn't make him feel compelled to answer. The simple idea that he's willing to move on is satisfying enough for me, si man.

As much as i sympathize with u on your present situation, i would however advice that u apply caution before taking a final decision on what u wanna do. For one thing, u have not heard directly from your fiancee whom i assume u are madly in love with. You might wanna ask yourself why she hasn't been able to contact u herself explaining why she didn't show up for the interview instead of taking her cousin's words for it. For all we know, a thousand and one thing could have made her not to appear for the interview. She might be in trouble, she might have been prevented from going for the interview against her will., i mean this is someone who was planing to spend a lifetime with u. The fact that her cousin called to tell u she cheated should not make u jump the gun immediately. My advice, try every other means to get in touch with her, let her tell u herself why she decided to not go for the interview or to marry u either. I think this will give u a more formal sense of closure and then u may go ahead and withdraw the petition if u so chooses. Good luck to you.

I met her through a coworker of mine, it was her niece. We started talking on the phone, chat, skype, etc.. Eventually i decided to meet her. I got the chance to get to know her more when i stayed there for a month, came back to the states and we continued talking, and i decided to go back in january to propose to her..which she said yes and we both decided to work on her petition so we can be together, and everything was going along well until the day of interview, she never showed up and no calls from her as in no communication.. Even her family didnt know wat was going on..and so i just gave up trying to get a hold of her, i wanted to go and see her, but work has really made it hard for me to leave and find out the truth.
