Yeah their card production seems to have slowed way down... I'm almost at 3 weeks since approval, no card and a poor Vermont filer from the July 2011 group is at over 30 days since approval and that's after their crazy Vermont wait.

Yeah lol, looks like my wife will be getting our citizen noa1 way before we ever get a 10 yr green card....this is what i want to do to some Vermont employees :bonk:

K1 fiance visa NOA1: February 2009

I went to the local DMV today to exchange my Texas DL and get the one for Arizona.

Their employees have been staring at my paperwork (including the letter of approval) for 15 minutes, took it to their supervisor and eventually got me a new DL which expires 11/16/12 - a year from when NOA1 was issued. The TX DL was given me for 6 years - despite the expiration of my temporary GC, and here they couldn't even read the documents properly. Agh.

They may have changed their rules in the interim. Right after I got my Utah driver license in December 2009, good for 5 years, they changed the rules so that now you can only get a drivers license good for as long as the documents you show them. If I had waited until January 2010 to get my local drivers license, it would have expired with my 2 year GC in December of 2011.

FYI, in our state, NJ they give the DL until NOA Expiration date + 5 months.

Let's say your NOA dated September 16, 2012 they give DL expiration date as February 15,2013 & indicating the licence written "TEMP. IMMIGRATION STATUS".

FYI, in our state, NJ they give the DL until NOA Expiration date + 5 months.

Let's say your NOA dated September 16, 2012 they give DL expiration date as February 15,2013 & indicating the licence written "TEMP. IMMIGRATION STATUS".

And in Wyoming it expires on the day the card or the letter expires.

I should have kept my TX DL then :/

It's only $10 for a new DL, not a big deal, but it freaks me out how they issued it for 6 months without even looking at the approval letter. Not to mention going to the local DMV again and waiting in line in November. Helloooo, system.. :D

And in Wyoming it expires on the day the card or the letter expires.

Same for Virginia. When I went for biometrics they told me the NOA extends my GC by a year, but the DMV said it is just a year from the date on the NOA. I guess that is correct and the biometric techs don't know anything lol.

If they pick you for interview how much notice do you get?
