I think if you can, but long as you have a job when you get the approval.

that is very important that the officer who takes your case, that you spent time with your husband, but at the same time you asked vacation time at work.

you will have to fill the affidavit of support when your request for i-130 is in the NVC,

and for that you need to verify that you are working and earn enough money for you and your husband.

You can ask the USCIS and ask if you can go for 1 month out of the country.

I think you can. There should be no reason why you can't leave the US and visit your spouse while it's still in processing. You can always sign up for news and updates about your case at the USCIS website.

If you're going overseas for about a month, then it should be fine. You might get some approval letter in the mail when you get back. Plus, assuming that your I-130 gets approved sometime during Christmas and you're not in the US, then you can always get back to them and send your docs to NVC once you return to the US.

to do list:
file i-130, petition for alien relative

get ssn card and green card
get employment authorization - not required
file I-751, petition to remove the conditions of residence (before 2nd year expires upon entry)
become a US citizen

Thank you Visajourney!

My husband also comes to stay 3 weeks at Christmas and New Year.

but my husband asked of vacation time at work, and they got it.

I live in california border and my husband lives in Ventura CA.

We live nearby, but my husband can not come all the time.

trips are no problem. I was deployed when i sent the petition for my wife. We were approved before I got back from my deployment. I visited my wife after my deployment and we were waiting on the nvc. The only thing I would do is have someone check the mail just in case you get an RFE. Did you sign up for txt or e-mail updates? That could help to let you know when to expect different stuff in the mail.

No need to inform, you can just leave - in fact this visit is a great evidence of continuing relationship. So save the boarding passes or the Itinerary - you still will have immigration stamp in your passport, which is also suffiicient. You can submit this evidence along with DS-230 papers that your spouse will submit during NVC process stage after I-130 is approved and transferred to NVC.

How about when the approval comes? can I stay in Lebanon for as long as I want or when the approval comes I have to come back to America for my case to continue? Like lets say I go to lebanon and decide I want to stay there until everything is finished and my husband gets the visa so I can come bak with him, can I do that?

The border control authority in Lebanon will decide how long you are authorized to stay there.
