We're trying to prepare the AOS/I-864 package and the IV package...and almost finished.

Trying to be ready whenever NVC will be ready.

So my question is, as we will most likely try to use James's shortcuts and try to send most of the papers and packages before we get the NVC letter by mail (planning to call NVC and when they inform they've sent the instructions letter to each phase, we can send the package/papers already before the actual letter arrives in snail mail.)

So have been reading the instructions, but could somebody who has done these stages already advice what is the check list exactly on those letters NVC sents?

Or do we have a link to those letters somewhere on visajourney?

Thanks a lot!

The checklist is basically a cover letter that lists all the documents you are sending to NVC. You include it with your documents. NVC does not send this. They will, however, send you (usually via email) notices of receipt & acceptance of Choice of Agent, the package for I-864 and IV package once these last two are marked Paid. Go Here to pay: AOS & IV Payment Portal

By the way, I didn't receive anything via snail mail other than the NOA1 & NOA2, after that it was strictly via email.

Here is another Guide I used:

Hope this helps and Good Luck on the rest of your Journey

Hi There

Aya is right, you will only receive a checklist if there is something wrong wit the IV/AOS papers you already have sent in (i know you have not sent it in yet.)

Also i made the mistake "waiting for something in the mail/e-mail" however they dont send you anything after you have actually made a payment, and it says "PAID" online, go to the bottom of both AOS and IV paid pages and PRINT the cover sheet with the BARCODE.

There are two options to print ,

1. printing the COVER SHEET

2. the other is printing proof of payment

After printing the COVER SHEET put this ontop of your IV and AOS documents and send it to them.

NOTE:

the IV and the AOS have two seperate DIFFRENT pages,

(When you go to each AOS and IV page where it says PAID, you will notice the diffrence one you print it)

One says AOS the other does not.

The address where it needs to be sent will be on the page you print.

Hope that helps you

P.S

Good Luck :star:

Good answer.

Though not required, it is good to write your NVC case number on the top right corner of all the documents except for the original marraige and DOB (I used a sticky label with NVC case number for these two) and of course you don't need it on the Cover sheet with bar code.

Thank you so much all of you guys!!!

Fine tuning the papers and getting ready for NVC!! Hope soon!!

By the way, does the online payment system automatically put the cost of the AOS and IV fee when paying or do we have to put the amount ourselves there...and that means check the correct amount before hand?

Also, DS 230 form is sent with the IV package, right?

Don't worry, it will show up correctly and you can't change it.

Yes, but you don't have to wait for the package to get the form ready to fill out and print (unfortunately you cannot save it after typing). Same for the I-864.

Should have been more clearer in my statement. I meant I-864 could also be downloaded...like the DS-230.

Thanks for clarifying that Ryan.
