US Marriage registered in Turkey

Hello,

My Husband and I were married in Las Vegas and returned to Turkey and had our interview in March of this year. They gave us AP and said that we need to have our marriage registered in Turkey so it will show on my Husband's Birth Certificate. I have tried to contact the Turkish Embassy both is Los Angeles and New York and have had NO luck. Has anyone else had this experience or know first hand how I would go about getting our US marriage registered and how long it takes before it would show on Hubby's Birth Certificate? HELP :help::help::help::help:

Apologies if I state in a comment that my husband and I have been together for years & years. It's just that I can hardly remember a time when he and I were not together.

why is your husband not doing the paper work in turkey..

would it be easier to get married over there also?!

In Turkey, if you are married, it is reflected on one's Birth Certificate... since we were NOT married there, (as I mentioned before) we were married HERE in the US and when we had our interview, they require that our marriage be on his birth certificate. I was simply asking if anyone has any info on how to get this done here in the US.

I found this and tried to translate it from turkish to english i hope its helps

Abroad, the Turkish or Turkish citizens and foreign nationals of men and women, in the presence of the competent authorities of the host country can marry marry. If only one of the Turks who first marry a Turkish citizen to be taken by the foreign competent authority within one month of the document sent to the nearest Consulate or by granting mandatory.

If you do not have marriage on the ground and near the Turkish consulate, in which case the notification, the foreign competent authority translated into Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs received the official document confirming the home after the administration of the Directorate General or the relevant population is given by
