Sufficient Evidence for AOS?

My fiancé will be arriving in two weeks! We are planning to get married ASAP. In our state, you can get something called a "self uniting marriage license" and you just need two witnesses to sign it and you are married. So, we are not having ANY "wedding" at this time. Just going over for dinner to my family's house where they will sign as witnesses. We are having a large religious ceremony and celebration later this spring in Mexico.

Anyway, my concern is that for AOS we will not have any formal wedding photos. I also am in the process of buying a house and will close by the end of the month - but only my name is on the mortgage as fiancé is not even in the country yet. SO, we won't have anything showing joint property ownership either!

Will this seriously affect us for AOS? We will have other evidence - such as, he will be on my health insurance at work, and we will open a joint bank account together, and I am going to try to get both our names on some utilities.

Thoughts?

there is no photo requirement.

We sent absolutely no photos what so ever and never RFEd for photos and never had an interview.

We were married in a criminal court room with a judge and 2 witnesses.

You dont need to send any of that when you apply for AOS. You may need it for the interview (if you have one), but that will be about 4 months after u file the AOS.

I just mailed my AOS and although we did have a wedding ceremony and reception I did not send anything. I am sure people send it 'just in case' but its not required at all. The only thing you need it the marriage certificate of course!

Not every county in Penna approves of this, so check with your county clerk to be sure.At our AOS interview, we did not have any wedding photos, but did have about 5-6 showing us with various friends in several cities. All we had to show for joint responsibility was a banking account. We were approved. Remember that the at the AOS interview they want to see you have a bona fide marriage and any thing that relates to that will work.

AOS based on an approved I-129F petition and subsequent marriage to petitioner within 90 days does not require any evidence of a bona fide marriage with the AOS application. For evidence, send nothing but your marriage certificate (a plain photocopy of it).
