no transfer? bummer! I still have no damn card. was 'made' Dec 28th and approval notice was mailed Jan 4th. This is really starting to piss me off.

I know. Damn those federal holidays. I'll probably feel different once I'm working full time, but..

Have you started looking for a job?

Are you sure your address is correct? The "approval notice" is your card (if your status went from "card production" back to "post-decision activity") and it is sent priority mail, so it should only take 2-3 days.

Congrats on your interview Jingo - at least there is an end in sight for you! :)

Gabbi I'm sure you have absolutely nothing to worry about, but it is kinda weird that you still don't have your card. Maybe you should call USCIS and see what's going on?

ONA trust me I know exactly how you're feeling, I've nearly been waiting 3 months since transfer (12 weeks today) and I haven't heard a peep!

On a happier note - I have been going on tons of interviews this last week (I went on 3 yesterday!!) annnnnd I may have a job offer by the end of the day :D At least I can get working! Me and my hubby really want to go on vacation. After Yagisama's experience however, I think I'll wait for my green card rather than using AP!!! Sorry to hear of all your unnecessary stress Yagisama!

congratulations! I am pretty sure it will arrive in no time. I received a call earlier from USCIS regarding my interview tomorrow. I was asleep so they left message in the voicemail. They told me to just check on the website if they are open tomorrow before I go. I was just wondering on what part in the website should I check if their office in Seattle is open or not?

it will be an hour drive so I need to know ahead of time. I am not feeling so well about this. The weather is not cooperating. :(

I checked the uscis web page this morning and it said the Seattle office is closed. All interviews will be rescheduled according to the notice poste. :)

Hey jingo, I already have a job lined up and waiting for me...told them I'd be available to work by Christmas...because that's what I thought originally!! dammit! I'm on hold with USCIS right now trying to figure out if I can track it. I'm pretty sure the address is correct because all my notices have been coming and I got my transfer notice hard copy a few weeks ago, and nothing has changed, so I don't see a problem there (I hope!!). I really hope I can get some answers soon. It's really making me crazy!!

Congrats on the job interviews Ev11!! that's great!

so i finally found out what happened to my EAD card. It got delivered...back to USCIS in Lees summit,Mo. It was AT MY HOUSE and the stupid postal worker never put it in my mail box and it says "addressee unknown" for god knows what reason. I am so crushed...It is urgent that I leave the US soon and I can't, and USCIS is useless and I've been so patient, and now....who knows how long before I get it. I'm soooo sooo upset I can't even tell you. I can't believe the post office made such a stupid mistake and now it has totally affected my situation. I'm so upset. I cannot believe this happened.

That is terrible news. I'm so sorry. I have heard other people who have had similar issues with deliverance of their green card. You could try registering your name and address with the post office, and/or putting a sign with your name on your letterbox. I know this doesn't help you much right now though.

I am so sorry Gabbi! :( Why is it so hard for people to do their jobs! Hopefully the USCIS will quickly re-send it and whilst your waiting have a word with your postal service worker.

Wow that really stinks. Will the USCIS try sending it back?

USCIS should really send important documents like that with tracking numbers. I'd gladly pay a tiny bit extra for a secure and fast delivery. But I'm sure as soon as they see it, they'll send it right back to you Gabbi. Think about it - only a few days left compared to all those months of waiting. Try and enjoy the last few days you'll get to sleep, relax and laze about before becoming an employee.

Holy #######!! Why couldn't they reserve that level of incompetence for something less vital? Like the copious amounts of junk mail they have absolutely no issues delivering.

Hopefully they will resend it soon, and you can finally put this whole ordeal behind you.

they actually do send it with tracking numbers via priority mail. Just call them ask for tier 2 officer and they should be able to give you a tracking number.
