I got email this morning as well as the Case status on USCIS website changed to testing and Interview Phase. :wow:

Email I received is as below..Now my concern is, how long will it take to get a Initial letter for Interview? I have been heard that some filers do receive some sort of yellow letter, am i expecting that on my mail box? :help: Please respond..

Application Type: N400 , APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION

Your Case Status: Testing and Interview

On October 27, 2011, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a written notice with a time and place for your interview. Please check the website for further updates on your case. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

If your case status indicates that you are currently in this step, you have either been scheduled for an interview or are in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your application will remain in this step will vary by office and is largely determined by the number of cases ahead of yours. I got email this morning as well as the Case status on USCIS website changed to testing and Interview Phase. :wow:

Email I received is as below..Now my concern is, how long will it take to get a Initial letter for Interview? I have been heard that some filers do receive some sort of yellow letter, am i expecting that on my mail box? :help: Please respond..

Yes, I had my Finger Print Done on 25th and i received this email today after Two days of my bio done..Going pretty smooth.. :thumbs:

Way to go DreamLoverBoy! :) To answer your question what I've seen here from others members experiences that the order would be something like this:

1. Text/email placed in line for interview schedulling (you got it today)

2. Yellow letter (mail)

3. Text/email interview scheduled

4. Interview letter (mail)

Regarding the timeline between each one of those action it's always going to depend on your local office processing times. You may want to check the time lines of filers from your local office to have an idea what to expect.

K1-K2 Visas Journey

(Day 1) 05/23/07: Packet sent to CSC

(Day 247) 01/25/08: Interview. Approved!

(Day 254) 02/01/08: Visas Received.

01/26/12: Online Status: We scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice

what are the things you guys sent for the N-400 based on marriage please get me a simple package we don;t have children yet.

(Day 254) 02/01/08: Visas Received.

AOS Journey K1-K2

(Day 1) 04/20/08: Application sent.

(Day 73) 07/02/08: EAD,AP Approved!

(Day 108) 08/05/08: AOS Approved!

(Day 114) 08/11/08: 2 years GC received.

ROC Journey K1-K2

(Day 1) 05/09/10: Application sent.

(Day 129) 09/14/10: ROC Approved!

(Day 135) 09/20/10: 10 years GC received.

Naturalization Journey

(Day 122) 01/31/12: Interview. PASSED!
