Well nobody has made a Thursday thread yet, so here it is! Happy Thursday!

Went to the DR. yesterday and I have been officially diagnosed with Migrains! Yay for me! Now I have to take a pill everytime I feel one coming on. Sounds good to me. It'll be nice to has some relief.

Nothing else new. I hope eveyone has a great day!

I'm here waiting for the DishNetwork guy to come install all the Arab channels. I'm keeping broadband for my tv and internet. I think were getting AlJazeera, Al Arabiya and Abu dhabi. Also a special channel for Quran and hadith.

Have a great Thursday!

Jackie

Well I was going to say today was really boring on here, but I found a couple of interesting threads to which I know better than to respond so thank you all for the laughs.

I guess I got lucky on the TV issue. Abdel loves the independent film channel and a couple of others when there are reruns on there, so we don't need to add the Arabic stuff. When he craves the Arabic music he listens to Medi1 on the computer. He's working 2 jobs now though, so not much time for TV for him any more, and I never had any because of work and school. The only media thing he does much in his down-time is play Word Pyramid on Neopets. I think I got him hooked.

I'm on Dayquil. Well, come to think of it, I bought the generic brand. Maybe that's why I'm still miserable. :(

We just got digital cable with a whole channel devoted just to soccer, so Amed is thrilled.

Not too much is going on here. We had the tasting at our wedding location last night, and I am so excited! The best thing we had were the fried grit cakes. If you're not from the south and aren't used to grits, it might sound gross, but trust me, it was delicious! We're getting so close and still have too much to do, but things are slowly coming together.

I sure do wish that more of Amed's family could be here, though. :( For those of you whose husbands came over on K-1's, how did you deal with the lack of your husband's family at the wedding? The only person from Amed's family we know can come is is brother, because he's a French citizen and can come over on the VWP. We're sending a formal invitation letter (in addition to the wedding invitation) to one of his other brothers so he can apply for a visitor's visa, but we all know how likely that is. I feel bad that I'm going to have 100 friends and family members there, and he's going to have 1. He's met most of my friends and family by now, and he's excited, too, but it makes me so sad to think about sometimes because this is his wedding, too, you know? He should have family there to support him, and I know they would love to come.

We're going to Algeria in the spring (hopefully) and plan to have some sort of family celebration there, but I know it's not exactly the same.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day!
