Although I have infrequently contributed to this forum, I have nevertheless monitored the information, almost daily, that it provided. This information not only was valuable but served to provide support and comfort, particularly when I read that there were many fellow 'VJ'ers' who were experiencing the same sense of isolation, depair and frustration that I was also experiencing. I submitted my I485 at the end of July 2005 and heard nothing, apart from Biometrics, until mid December when USCIS advised that my AOS application was transferred to CSC. This news brightened my day but this soon dimmed as nothing further was advised. That was until today (Feb 22) nearly seven months after my original application was submitted, when I received an email to advise that my I485 had been approved - and without an interview. Two hours later in the mail, I received my 'Welcome to the USA' Letter.

I wanted to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all those fellow 'VJ'ers' for providing, perhaps unknowlingly, the support, comfort and help to me. Furthermore, to all those who are waiting final AOS approval, let me say that amid all the frustration, isolation and sometimes despair, that there is hope. The wheels at USCIS seem to grind slowly but they DO GRIND.

My thanks again for all those who helped me by 'greasing the wheels'.

Bryan

CONGRATULATIONS and best of luck. The AOS journey for my wife is just about to begin. I've found that with the filing of her I-130 and I-129F, patience is definitely a virtue..

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
