I had my interview today at dublin embassy the questions i was asked are

Q.Have you been to afghanistan

A.no

Q.you are afghan

A. Yes i am afghan by race but pakistani by nationality as afhgan(pathan lives in india ,afghanistan and pakistan my parents were pakistani and i am pakistani

Q.your name is very popular

A. I smiled

Q.tell me about ur fiance

Q.how did you met

Q.when u want to traval to america

Q.when you getting married

Q. Why in us

Q.phone records

He didt ask for other proofs that i had like money transfer recipt ,gifts,post record and photos .he then told me tat i will know in 1 to 2 month time .the i told him he want to c the photis he said no .

Now the question i am asking is that did he put me on AP.he didt give me anything no refusal no tracking number nothing .

Please help as he didt ask for any docoments that i need to submit nothing now i am in home thinking what went wrong .

Relax...you didn't do anything wrong. You have probably been placed on AP. You should get your Visa in 60 or more days once your final name check comes back clean.

Were they not supposed to give me some type of papper ? Saying that i am in AP thanks for your replay

I need to add some more information they kept my passport which i will need next week to extend my irish visa what you i do ?

This is common for them to keep the passport but only if they are going to issue a visa which you get in a week time but to me he said 1to 2 months which making me worried

dont worry brother.......you applied in a country different from your own.....and as i said before your male and muslim so ap is pretty much going to happen......one to two months seems like a long time but just stay busy

Thank you very much for the replay it really help but were they not suppose to give me a papper indicating that my case in going through AP

The AP is not because he's male and a Muslim. It's because he's a male from Pakistan. The AP would still have been likely if he'd been a male Christian from Pakistan. It would have been less likely if he were a male Muslim from Indonesia or Malaysia. Being a Muslim is not a potential inadmissibility. Being a member of a terrorist organization is. Being from certain countries increases the potential that he might be a member of a terrorist organization. That's why the CO specifically asked about Afghanistan. An Afghan who migrated to Pakistan would have a higher chance of being a member of a terrorist organization than an Afghan (by race) born and raised in Pakistan. Virtually every Afghan Taliban member currently living in northwest Pakistan fits the former description.

To the OP: Go to the consulate and request that your passport be returned so that you can renew your visa in Ireland.
