MY DAUGHTER AND I WERE PLANNING TO HAVE A VACATION IN BOHOL FOR 4 DAYS...BUT MY FIANCE STOPS US FROM GOIN BECAUSE HE SAID I HAVE TO RECEIVE THE LETTER FROM THE EMBASSY REGARDING OUR CASE. UPON CHECKING FROM NVC THEY HAVE RECEIVED OUR APPROVAL FROM USCIS LAST SEPTEMBER 10.. UPON INQUIRING FROM THEM, THEY HAVE GIVEN US OUR CASE NUMBER...

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO ASK IF HOW MANY DAYS USUALLY IT TAKES FROM NVC TILL IT REACHED US EMBASSY IN MANILA? HOPE SOMEONE SHARES HOW MANY DAYS IT TOOK THEM SO I COULD GAUGE WHAT TIME WE WOULD BE GOIN FOR OUR TRIP TO BOHOL AND

ANOTHER QUESTION...WOULD IT BE A REQUIREMENT THAT I WOULD BE THE ONE TO RECEIVE THE LETTER FROM EMBASSY AND NOT ANY MEMBER IN MY FAMILY IF I WOULD BE GONE FOR FEW DAYS?

THANKS SO MUCH!!!

I never recieved any letter from the embassy. My fiance did and that's what I will present during my interview. It has our manila case number. And oh, there was a letter sent to my fiance ( US address) which was supposedly a letter for me ( it says in Dear Ms ABCDE FGHIJ ) - Tho, maybe some really get something from them, but I am not one of the favorites of the USEM heheehhehe!

I received mine right after I got home from my successful interview. Yeah, the mailman and I arrived at my house the same time.

It takes 4-5 business days for your case file to be delivered from NVC to US Embassy Manila through DHL.

It would be a mistake to wait for the letter of eligibility from the US Embassy Manila. Sometimes beneficiary's

get them sometimes they don't. The petitioner will get a letter from NVC regarding your Manila Case #. Have

the petitioner scan and email you the letter from NVC which contains your Manila Case #.

Here is a link of what essentially is your packet 3 or what the US embassy in Manila is suppose to send you:

Good luck!

You receive it in the post, so no, you don't have to be the one to collect the post. it's not a personal delivery, it's an envelope.

NOA2 goes to the USC. The NVC letter.. can't remember but the main issue is, no you don't need to be there. Maybe he's just anxious for you to get started on it ASAP.

UPON CHECKING ON HOW VJ MEMBERS HAVE DONE IT, IS...TO CALL US EMBASSY (MANILA) IF THEY ALREADY HAVE OUR CASE W/C WAS SENT FROM NVC AND IF THEY SAY "YES" AND THEY HAVE ENCODED IT IN THEIR SYSTEM...THEN, THAT WOULD BE THE DAY WHERE I COULD GO TO THE NEAREST BANK TO PAY FOR OUR VISA? NO NEED FOR LETTER INSTRUCTING US THAT WE CAN NOW PAY OUR VISA AND SCHEDULE OUR INTERVIEW? (CAUSE THIS IS THE CONCERN OF MY FIANCE...WE THOUGHT HAVING A LETTER FROM THE EMBASSY IS THE ONLY SIGNAL TO HAVE TO BE ABLE TO START SCHEDULING FOR INTERVIEW) PLEASE CLARIFY MY THOUGHTS ON THE FACTS I GATHERED...THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING TIME TO ANSWER...BEEN SUCH HELP...GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!

You are correct. You don't need the letter from the Embassy telling you that you are eligible to schedule an interview. In order to schedule an interview, you simply have to wait until the Embassy receives your physical case file and enters it into their system.

Once the Embassy has entered your case into their system, pay the visa fee at BPI, and schedule an interview.
