When we filed for my wife and stepson (adjusting form K-1 and K-2 visas, respectively) we sent two checks along with the AOS/EAD/AP packages. One check, for my wife, was $1,070 ($985 fee + $85 biometrics) and the other check, for my stepson (10 years old), was $635. The USCIS accepted the applications. The packages were each rubberbanded together with the associated check (and electronic notification form) attached to the front of each package.

Have a great day!

Joe

An Update.

I did what someone suggested. We sent two separate checks. One for my wifes paperwork with a check for $1070 and a seperate one for her son with a check for $635. Her's gets approved but, get this, they reject his because paperwork was signed by me. In Part 6 where it says "Signature of Person Preparing Form, If Other Than Above" I filled in my information and wrote "Stepfather Applicant is 5 years old" Which is me. Because he is 5 YEARS OLD!!!!!! And can't yet read or write!!!!

I just don't get these people. I send this stuff 5 times because they can't add and require two checks. Their rejection notice says that the amount is wrong for the first 5 times and don't say that they need 2 separate checks. Just that the amount is wrong. And now this #######.

I am so fedup with the stupidity of this process, we have gotten to the point where we don't care anymore if this ever becomes legal in the eyes of this government. I will send this paperwork back to them with "his" signature, but we just may say screw it and move back to Ukraine.

So did you remember to also sign in his signature section? Have his mother sign where he would sign and write "Mother" then you can fill in the other section. The main section STILL must be signed.

(laughing) we are feeling this.....

Yah, even though you signed for a little one the main section still has to have his signature (by her probably)

Me? I would let the little man scrawl something on the main line and send it back

What a terrible story

i don't get it.
