Hi, everyone I am new here. I apologize if my question will sound stupid but I would just like to make sure that it is right the moment I do it first.

QUESTION: With the I-129 Cover Letter, Fiance and fiancees Letter of Intent, shall I put the address on the letter to USCIS Cleveland office but mail it to Lewisville, TX (courier)?????

PS.

I'm patient person and has more focused so I'm doing all the paperwork for me and my fiance (in the US) K-1 visa. I know the process that he should be the one to file it but I am the one preparing EVERYTHING. He hates complicated things and gets easily overwhelmed. All he just got to do is sign and mail things, with his name on it.

Happy New Year!

Hello,

Can you explain the question a little more, with detail?

Put the address of the Lewisville, TX office. Look in the Example Forms section, there's a template for Letter of Intent and Cover Letter.

You mail your petition to the Lewisville, Texas address. It's your choice if you want to put this address on the letter of intent and cover letter too, we did put the address of CSC (California Service Center) on it, because we knew they would forward it to CSC. K1-petitions are forwarded to CSC or VSC (Vermont), depending in which state the petitioner is living.

California Service Center: Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming

Vermont Service Center: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, and West Virginia

He lives in OH. So you're saying that I can address the letters and mail them all to either Lewisville, TX or CA??? I am seeing 2 addresses California

24000 Avila Road, 2nd Floor, Room 2326 OR Room 2302 Laguna Niguel, CA 92677. Which one? Any ideas which office works faster?

Yes, I got the template but I am not sure what "SERVICE CENTER" means. I first indicated USCIS address in Cleveland, OH. Zara below said it's forwarded to CA office anyway while not mail it directly to CA. Are they doing anything else in Lewisville, TX before forwarding the application to CA? Would it hurt if I bypass TX?

I am sorry for being too whatever but it took us 4.5 yrs before we met in person and we both can't wait to be together again. We waited long enough and it's an ordeal to get an RFE and have your application buried or just go everywhere because this tiny thing aint right..

Happy New Year!

The address on the letters does not matter. It's the content that's important. If you know the service center (California or Vermont) that your petition is likely to go to, use that address. If you don't know, simply use the Dallas/Lewisville lockbox address. Doesn't matter.

You cannot bypass sending it to Texas. Texas is a sorting facility and they will forward your petition to the correct service center. You can't send it directly to the service center anymore.

Oh I see....Thank you so much for your reply. We'll just send it to Lewisville, TX then. It's better to have a tracker than the regular US postal service. God I wasted a lot papers for editing. But it's better to make a mistake now instead of during the process.

None of the above. An address looks all nice on the sample letter but you are attaching the letter to a package sent in another envelope. No address is needed on the letter.

Make SURE...

YOUR names and address are on the letters and make SURE the address on the outside of the package is correct.
